Marianne is a researcher and her role is to contribute in ICATALIST projects through psychology and participatory approach. Her profile brings together psychology, sustainability and governance. She has worked in different organizations and cities, in project development, research and education.
She graduated from a Master in Social Sciences, specialized in Social and Environmental psychology at the University of Paris Descartes and a Postgraduate degree in Territorial Planning at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). She is currently finishing her PhD in the program of Social Psychology and Organizations, at the University Barcelona (UB) in Environmental Psychology. She investigates environmental concerns, climate issues and sustainability through a socio psychological perspective.
She has been as a teacher at the University of Guayaquil (UG) in Social psychology and Psychology within Social sciences, Anthropology and Sociology. She has also worked in the facilitation of awareness and educational workshops on ecological behaviors for the French Institute of Athens. Determined to promote participatory governance, she has worked for the Municipality of Paris in the delegations of participative democracy, associative network and events.
As a collaborator of the municipal team of the district, she contributes in the strategies for institutionalizing participatory processes, in the political directives to strengthen local democracy, and she was in charge of developing citizen participation projects, public consultations, communications and meetings, participatory budget, associations’ network coordination.
