SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS WORKSHOPS
CEIPSO El Cantizal Secondary School
1 Week June 2018
ICATALIST has developed thematic workshops around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations for students between 11 and 16 years old. These young generations will be between 23 and 28 years old in the time horizon of the SDG: 2030; therefore, they can and must be the main agents to spread the knowledge and reach the SDG. The approach was to develop collaborative projects focused on the SDGs under the slogan "Think Global, act local". The modality was based on small projects ("educational pills"), with varied and entertaining dynamics to motivate the children.
The objectives of the workshops were both to increase the knowledge about a specific topic (a specific SDG), to learn through "experiential" activities and to promote competencies and social values:
Content (knowledge): The project was structured with an initial General Workshop and a series of specific Workshops that include 1 or 2 SDGs per workshop.
Education based on competencies and values: The project promoted social values, creativity, emotional values, technology, sports, etc.
