Laura Vay (PhD)
Project manager specialized in environmental, water-agriculture and climate change.
Laura joined I-Catalist in January 2017 and its main role in the company is the management of the H2020 project NAIAD, coordinated by Confederación Hidrográfica del Duero and I-Catalist. Laura also supports the development of Impluvium (Circular Economy) and AdaptFarm (Marie Curie).
She obtained her degree in Biology in 2003, her PhD from the University of Valladolid in 2008, and completed a Master's Degree in Environmental Management and Climate Change in 2012.
Her previous work has developed in several areas. Related to biochemistry, undertaking research on calcium dynamics, mitochondrial diseases and chronic pain. And related to water-agriculture and Climate Change, on the analysis of public policies and management plans on CC and DRR, and land use transformation.
In recent years she has worked in project management related to climate change and water, funded by European Programmes and National Plans.
