Technical Forestry Engineer
Collaborator as Technical Forest Engineer and Environmental Educator at ICATALIST.
Celia completed Forestry Technical Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and has studies related to child education: a Scottish professional qualification in services Social for Children and Young people (SVQ 3 social Services (children and young people) at SCQF level 7) and is currently obtaining the vocational training of Senior Technician in Education Child. Her work experience has been focused on forestry engineering and in environmental and child education fields.
She worked as a Nursery Practitioner (Edinburgh) planning, developing and evaluating the educational program and implementing the Ecoschools program for the Nursery in which she worked. As environmental educator she worked in the Ecology and Environmental Center in Las Tablas and has developed the Plan of Barrio de Begoña carrying out the planning and design of environmental education campaigns, elaborating and designing environmental modules, executing activities: Itineraries, workshops, games, exhibitions, conferences, and elaboration of memories of the projects and activities carried out.
In the forestry field, she has done forestry inventories, environmental studies and she did a research on phenology of Quercus Ilex in collaboration with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He also collaborated with an NGO (Peru) developing environmental workshops for farmers and a study on the feeding of Andean camelids in the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.
Her current main focus is on environmental and forestry education; so that an environmentally-educated citizens actively participates in the preservation of our environment.
